Yesterday I tried benchmarking Monster Hunter Wilds. I saw an average FPS of 41 FPS on High with 46 FPS with the settings I want to target. However one thing I realized with my benchmark was that I had not updated drivers for 2 months. I have now updated to latest and decided to redo the benchmark on the same settings I did my second test at yesterday. I have also cleaned my PC to make sure airflow works as it should because I noticed that wasn't at its peak yesterday.

To see my setup for this test, See yesterday's benchmark which I posted about.

Benchmark

Pretty much all sections saw an FPS increase this time. The intro cinematic average around 60 FPS - 75 FPS. Some dips down to 50 FPS for a frame or two when camera angle switches but that's nothing others haven't reported. In the camp, the FPS went to 45 FPS but then after leaving camp it went to 45 FPS to 50 FPS. During the first environment it went down to 35FPS and stayed there until it got closer to the oasis and the cave in which it was back up to an average of 40 FPS to 45 FPS. In the city, it surprisingly managed to hold a stable 50 FPS to 55 FPS. This also was the case in the last sequence where it captured the people eating. Overall, we land on a 51.83 FPS average which is almost 6 FPS higher than the one from yesterday. I'd call that a win, and absolutely much more playable than 41 FPS as we saw on the default option yesterday.

Summary

Still not a stable 60 fps on medium with above recommended PC specs. But it is a lot closer than it was yesterday.
